Jimmy Lees is a lovely man. He was only 56 when he died and he will be missed forever by his many
friends.
When he was younger he used to love Northern Soul music and was a fantastic dancer. We used to go
to Blackpool Mecca with our friends and dance the night away. Everybody liked Jimmy, he was fun and
kind and loving.
He was lovely looking and had a smile that made you smile.He was gorgeous and I loved him. He loved
me too and asked me to marry him the night we met. The next day he took me home to meet his parents
and to tell them that we were to be married. He said he could not bear to be apart from me and
wasn't I beautiful. It was love at first sight for both of us.
We had some wonderful times . Every day was magic. We heard new songs together and we both
said , we would always remember where we were the night we heard Marvin Gaye singing "What's
going on". It was one of those nights that people treasure forever. Jimmy said it was the best night
of his life and he would remember it for the rest of his life.
Some of the best times of my life were times we spent together. So no regrets as Jimmy said. Just
wonderful , happy memories of a wonderful man.
He will be in my prayers and thoughts for the rest of my life as he has been for the last 37 years.

Some people live all their lives waiting for that one special moment, hour, day, night. We had all of those and many more. I have always treasured every second.
I would always choose a moment of wonderful, than a life of nothing special. And we had our moments, lots and lots of them.
I will always remember the night we met, it was as though it was out of a film , a night of pure magic. And the night of Marvin Gaye, one of the best nights of our lives you said. Even twenty years later, you still said it was one of the best nights of your life, mine too. No one can take that away from us.
I love how even in your forties and fifties you still chewed gum. It made you look young . To me you will always be young and handsome. When we met again after years,neither of us had changed. You were still the same man I fell in love with all those years ago. We know how we feel and how we always have felt. That will never change.
